A sentimental song about having someone who will always be there for you and hold you up during life's tough times. Although the song is written from a romantic perspective, the majority of the lyrics explore the simple feeling of having someone in your life that you know you can rely on.

The song was recorded partly in England and partly in Canada - Nicky recorded her parts in her home studio near Manchester and Joel Schwartz recorded other parts and produced the track at his studio in Toronto.

The song is due for release on streaming platforms on 15th December in time for the winter solstice the following week. The song was written with this time of year in mind with the long dark nights drawing in - 'we stay awake in the darkness of solstice' (verse 1).
